María Teresa González is a journalist, graduated from the University of Concepción. She has a master's degree in strategic communication and postgraduate studies in Management Skills and Human Resources. She also has a diploma in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from the Alberto Hurtado University and a Diploma in Regulation of Future Electricity Markets from the Pontificia Universidad Católica. María Teresa is today Country Manager of Statkraft in Chile, a Norwegian state owned renewable energy company, today the largest renewable energy generator in Europe. During her professional career she also held the position of Sustainability and Communication Manager in Endesa Chile (today Enel Generación). She was also general manager of Fundación Huinay and Human Resources Manager at Essbio. Added to this, she had a long experience in the public sector, during which time he held different positions in the Regional Government of the Biobío Region, Serviu and Transantiago, today the Metropolitan Public Transportation System. She is also a member of the Board in Generadoras de Chile and in CLG (Business Leaders for Climate Action), as well as in La Higuera and La Confluencia hydroelectric power plants. Chosen in 2021 and 2022 as one of the “100 Women Leaders of Chile” by the newspaper El Mercurio and Mujeres Empresarias and as “Executive of the Year 2023” by Mujeres Empresarias and Diario Financiero.
