Currently the CEO & Co-Founder of Solarity SpA, Horacio Melo has been at the forefront of promoting sustainable energy solutions across Latin America since April 2014. Under his leadership, Solarity has emerged as a key player in the region, specializing in solar energy, energy storage, and electromobility. His strategic vision focuses on driving decarbonization and providing customized energy solutions that align with corporate sustainability goals. Prior to founding Solarity, Horacio served as a Deal Manager at InverSur Capital for seven months from June to December 2014, where he honed his skills in managing investments and fostering growth in innovative energy projects. Horacio's profound impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Chile was solidified during his tenure as the Executive Director of Start-Up Chile from June 2011 to April 2014. In this role, he led the Chilean Government’s ambitious program aimed at transforming Chile into the innovation and entrepreneurial hub of Latin America. His efforts were instrumental in attracting early-stage, high-potential entrepreneurs to Chile, significantly fostering a cultural change towards innovation. His career also includes a stint as an International Marketing Manager at LATAM Airlines from March 2010 to March 2011, where he managed global marketing strategies and enhanced the airline's brand presence in international markets. Earlier, Horacio developed his marketing expertise as an Assistant Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, where from June 2006 to February 2010, he played a key role in brand strategy and product launches, contributing to the brand's strong market positioning. Horacio's unique blend of expertise in renewable energy, coupled with his extensive background in marketing and capital investment, positions him uniquely to drive innovative and sustainable business solutions. His work continues to influence the renewable energy landscape and entrepreneurship, fostering sustainable practices and economic growth across Latin America.
