In Guadalajara, Jalisco, solar energy has emerged as the primary catalyst in the journey towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy matrix. Bernd Rohde, CEO of the Italian German Exhibition Company Mexico, projected that by 2030, Mexico will have installed 11,300 megawatts (MW) of distributed photovoltaic systems, a testament to the country's commitment to solar energy as a pillar of its renewable energy strategy.

The Ambassador of Italy to Mexico, Alessandro Modiano, endorsed this shared vision, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in combating climate change. Italy, through its leadership in the European Union and its expertise in sustainable technologies, stands as a model in implementing solutions based on the circular economy and renewable energies. In an interconnected world, Modiano stressed the need for collaboration between governments and businesses to address global climate challenges.

Circular economy, as highlighted by Alessandra Astolfi, Global Director of Exhibitions at the Green & Tech Division of Italian Exhibition Group, emerges as the fundamental response to mitigate the environmental impact of industrial operations in Mexico. In an effort to drive this transformation, the event brought together over 200 specialized exhibitors and 7,500 national and international visitors at Expo Guadalajara. From solar energy solutions to waste management and smart cities, this event has become the epicenter of innovation and collaboration in the quest for a more sustainable energy future.

The presence of industry and governmental leaders underscores the urgency and shared commitment of all stakeholders in this journey towards a greener and more prosperous tomorrow. In a world where solar energy shines with renewed intensity, Mexico is poised to lead the charge towards a brighter and more sustainable energy future for future generations.
