In the north of Ciego de Ávila, the Morón photovoltaic solar park is nearing completion, with over 90% of the project already executed. Luis Alberto Hernández, the regional electric company's interim director, reports that the team is finalizing the transformer assembly, paving the way for imminent energy delivery to the National Electric System (SEN).

This initiative, supported by a donation from the People's Republic of China, marks the fourth solar park in the province and aligns with the national strategy to transition towards renewable energy. It's also part of the "Energy for All" campaign, aiming to enhance renewable energy adoption, including the installation of solar panels in 167 rural homes in Ciego de Ávila, as stated by Ramón Acosta of Cubasolar.

The three operational solar parks in Ciego de Ávila have made a significant impact, contributing around 16,000 megawatt-hours to the SEN last year. This effort has led to notable fuel savings and a reduction in carbon emissions, demonstrating the region's commitment to sustainable energy and environmental conservation.
