With over a decade of experience in energy markets, César Vásquez is an Electrical Engineer with a Master's in Finance, deeply knowledgeable in the electric and hydrocarbons markets. He is currently the Regulatory & Commercial Operations Manager at Atlas Renewable Energy, where he leads key operations driving Chile's energy transition. His career includes significant roles at Aela Energía, where he served for nearly 10 years as Commercial Manager, Deputy Commercial Manager, and Senior Commercial Analyst, securing long-term contracts and leading strategic renewable energy projects. As a Director at GPM AG, César has been instrumental in representing small and medium-sized generators. At the Chilean Ministry of Energy, his work ranged from projecting marginal electricity costs to developing national energy balances and collaborating on environmental impact and regulatory studies. His experience includes operating advanced software for energy planning, such as the SDDP and OSE2000 models, and participating in working groups for developing electrical regulations. César has contributed to important studies and projects, including the SIC-SING interconnection and the evaluation of laws for thermal power plant emissions. César has worked closely with international organizations and contributed to the preparation of reports for the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE).
