Erwin Plett is a Chemical Civil Engineer from the University of Chile, with a PhD in Process Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and postdoctoral studies in Thermal Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. He teaches in several hydrogen-related postgraduate programs at Chilean universities and internationally. He is the founder of Low Carbon Chile SpA and several other companies focused on green hydrogen, water purification technologies, and reducing the carbon footprint in aviation. Plett has served as President of the Energy Commission of the Chilean Engineers Association and Vice-President of the Chile Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers. He is an international consultant and Technical Secretary of the ISO/TC 197 Hydrogen Technologies Committee. Appointed “Green Hydrogen Ambassador” by Chile’s Ministry of Energy, Plett is a key figure in promoting human capital development for the green hydrogen industry.
