Fernando Marticorena, Partner, Audit and Finance, EY
Fernando Marticorena is Partner in Audit and Finance at EY Argentina, with over 25 years of experience working across Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Throughout his career, he has developed deep expertise in financial reporting, capital markets, and international accounting standards. He previously worked as a manager in EY’s New York office and has led numerous cross-border engagements involving complex financial structures and regulatory frameworks. Fernando currently serves as EY’s IFRS Leader for Latin America and is a member of the firm’s global IFRS Policy Committee based in London. In this role, he facilitates coordination between regional teams and the global IFRS network, while also contributing to EY’s interactions with key regulatory bodies, including the IASB. As a specialist in SEC regulations, he has been involved in multiple IPOs of South American companies listed on the NYSE and NASDAQ, as well as listings in São Paulo, London, Luxembourg, Ireland, and Singapore. He has also participated in numerous debt issuances under Rule 144A and Regulation S. Fernando is a US CPA (New Hampshire) and holds a degree in Public Accounting from the University of Buenos Aires. He has also been a professor of Accounting and Auditing at leading universities in Argentina. With extensive experience in capital markets and financial regulation, Fernando brings a comprehensive perspective on how companies structure, report, and access capital in global markets.
