Patricia Darez is the Managing Director of 350renewables, a boutique renewable energy consultancy that she co-founded in 2014, offering technical and commercial services with a focus on Latin America. With extensive experience managing multicultural teams, tendering processes, and providing commercial and technical advice, Patricia has worked on several gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy assets, including wind and solar PV projects across various continents and markets. From 2022 to 2024, Patricia served as Country Manager for Vector Renewables, where she successfully opened the company's office in Chile, built a team, and signed 1GW of assets within just 12 months. Her leadership was pivotal in expanding the company’s presence and operations in South America. Previously, Patricia was a Director and Vice-President of the Chilean Renewable Energy Association, where she played a key role in advancing renewable energy initiatives. She also held the position of Country Manager for DNV GL Energy, overseeing business development and technical management of energy projects across several South American countries. Her responsibilities included building a team, shaping business strategy, and reporting on renewable energy and fossil fuel generation projects. Patricia’s career includes her work as Energy Analysis Manager at Mainstream Renewable Power in Chile, where she supported the development of approximately 1.5GW of wind and solar projects. Prior to that, she worked in the UK for Wind Prospect Ltd and holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bristol. In addition to her professional roles, Patricia is a founding member of GTER, a platform for renewable energy professionals and academics aimed at optimizing industry best practices and influencing policy. She is also a keynote speaker and represents the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) across South America.
