Senior Executive - CAF

Luisa Rivas is a Senior Executive in Energy Markets at CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, where she focuses on advancing energy transition initiatives and supporting the development of sustainable energy markets across the region. With a background in environmental engineering and project development, Luisa has extensive experience in renewable energy and infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on green hydrogen, wind and solar energy. Prior to joining CAF, she worked at Alfanar Energía, where she supported the development of large-scale projects in Chile, the United States, and Uruguay, leading environmental and permitting processes while contributing to technical, commercial, and financial workstreams. Earlier in her career, Luisa was a Senior Associate at FICUS Advisory, where she advised on transactions and project development across infrastructure, logistics, and energy sectors throughout Latin America. Her experience also includes roles at Odebrecht, where she contributed to the implementation of sustainability systems and environmental management processes. Recognised for her multidisciplinary approach and strong understanding of energy markets, Luisa brings together environmental, technical, and financial perspectives to support the advancement of low-carbon projects and the integration of sustainable solutions across the region.
