In 2011 I took over as the newly created undersecretary for environmental control and inspection at the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainable Development (SEMAD), responsible for coordinating all environmental inspection in the state. In 2013 I returned to Igam to take over as general director, where I remained until early 2015. In 2015 I was appointed deputy secretary of Semad. From 2016 to 2017 I was again responsible for environmental inspection at Semad. In 2018 I was appointed director general of Igam. In academia, I began teaching civil engineering at the Kennedy School of Engineering in 2007. Since then I've had the opportunity to teach undergraduate courses at PUC and UFMG as a substitute teacher. I have taught on postgraduate courses at IETEC, UNIP and PUC. Since 2017, I have been a member of the teaching staff at the Vale do Rio Verde University (UninCor) in the Master's programme Sustainability in Water Resources. In 2018 I took over the academic coordination of the course."
